I’ve seen a lot more people on this app prefer “close” to this, so if you’ve seen both what’s your preference? 

Honestly I expected to like this more than what I actually did, I still thought it was good, just wasn’t the masterpiece I was expecting. 
I didn’t really care that much for the B plot, I love Daniel Brühl but just wasn’t it for me 

However when the fighting began in the A plot it was phenomenal, it captured both the beauty and brutality of the war-torn landscape, which was just ever so enhanced by the sound design. 

Felix Kammerer did a fantastic job his role as Paul Bäumer perfectly embodied both the innocence and despair of a young soldier grappling with the horrors of war; which we don’t see much of told from a German POV.

I really need to watch come and see.
