Who hasn't thought of running away from our current lives, changing our identities and living a fresh life somewhere far away atleast once in their life. The only problem is that the baggages of the past are never fully thrown out and they will also call us back to our past whether we want it or not. John Frankenheimer's Seconds takes this notion and creates a bizzare paranoid psychological horror thriller that is absolutely stunning and devastating to the core. Full of Dutch angles, fish eye lenses, sets straight out of German expressionism, a wonderful soundtrack and melancholy seeping through every single frame.
PS: the stomp the grapes scenes was absolutely wild, one of the best sequences I've seen from the year!
