Oscar Winners (Ranked) (2024)
(Best Actress - Emma stone)
You know, I think Willem Defoe really is somewhat of a scientist himself.
Wow. I’m really glad it told me about the depictions of tobacco before the film. I think it may of missed just a few other warnings tho cause this is batshit.
Of course I knew it was going to be batshit before watching considering it’s from the crazy mind of Yorgos Langthimos
Honestly I couldn’t tell if I wanted to Kill Mark Ruffalos character or fuck him but by the end it was definitely kill.
Looks like Emma felt the same.
The humour in this surprised me so much, all I’ve ever heard is that it’s batshit, and theres shitloads of sex and nudity. But it’s genuinely hilarious. Both Ruffalo and Stones line delivery is on point throughout. They also nail the physical comedy.
The aesthetic is phenomenal, sets are incredibly beautiful, the constant vibrant colours, reflecting Bellas, feelings and meticulous product design on literally every location really make this film what it is
Look, Ik I said Lily Gladstone was robbed buuut maybe not, Emma Stone is captivating she radiates an enigmatic like energy throughout. She’s both playful and poignant but explores life with both a curiosity and defiance. I love that she just says every little thing that comes to her mind. It works so well.
It really allows you to reflect on the nature of creation and what it means to be truly alive with absolute free will. The storytelling is fantastic, I haven’t seen Anatomy of a fall yet but I’m not sure how this didn’t win original screenplay.
Easily has the potential to be a 5⭐️
