Madhukar’s review published on Letterboxd:
Fuck sake, Kiyoshi Kurosawa, I have been watching horror movies for the better part of the past two weeks and yet I did not really feel the dread with all the supernatural and heightened reality aspects as much as I did with the quietness that you present your world with. The oppressive silences of the modern world has never been brought to the screen with such horror by any other director better than Kurosawa and good god is it fucking scary. Completely unnerved me in just 45 odd minutes. I'm already scared of the other two Kurosawas I have on my list.
