Slappy McGee’s review published on Letterboxd:
German Expressionism is always quite interesting to take in. The sets, the costumes, the artistic production value are all worth a look. However, this one couldn't rise to meet the standards set by the great technical elements of the film.
The story was just not there and because it meandered all over the place, it just became boring and non-interesting.
Usually, I dig these old silent films... but this one tried my patience.
I wanted to punch that dude.
