Slappy McGee’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is one of those Hidden Gems that you always hear are lurking out there somewhere. And because of HOOPTOBER I found this one!
This film hits the SWEET SPOT between horror and comedy with a little bit of both, and each genre getting its chance to shine. Very well written and an extremely well-constructed plot, as the movie swings from one type of horror to another. It's very clever in that way.
And - to tell the truth - this movie only lost a 1/2-star for an ending that I felt was a bit of a cop-out. I guess I just wanted a bit more at the end, but understand why it ended the way it did. But it wouldn't have been my choice. But still... this is a solid 4-4.5 star film for me.
And that one ghost is truly frightening.
Love it!
