”If you get stuck out there, no help will be coming.”
Simple, sturdy, and entertaining as all hell, Alexandre Aja’s Crawl is a claustrophobic nightmare filled with enough giant gators to really keep you on your toes. Alongside a rather good performance from Kaya Scodelario and some fun gory kills and harm done, you really can’t get much more of a good film from this. Towards the end of the film you have to stretch the imagination just a hair more than usual, but with the really great first 2/3 it doesn’t even matter. I also love the fact that there were no animals harmed in the making because I think that made me sweat more than Haley and her dad. Crawl is 100% a good time!
