The Fearless Vampire Killers

Okay, Polanski... so you decide to make a horror/comedy with no comedy and very little horror.

This is your idea?
Bold move, pedo.
Bold move.

Actually, it was a bit melancholy watching this movie because the young ingenue is played by Sharon Tate just before her star was about to blast off with "The Valley of the Dolls". And knowing about her horrifically tragic end, it was just kind of bummer seeing her in this.

Don't know why it struck me that way, necessarily, but it just did.

She's so full of life and talent and promise... and, yeah... just a bummer.

Especially since the rest of this movie was also a bummer.

I could see what Polanski was going for here, but it's obvious through this piece of filmmaking that he had absolutely no eye for comedy. Plus his acting as the crazy professor's simple assistant is genuinely terrible.

This is just a big ol' fail for me.
