Hooptober 11: #01
[Criteria: 1/2 films from India]
Lovely start to this year's Hooptober as I start off with the Indian movie, since my mum wanted to watch something as well. Incidentally I had loved watching Rahul Sadasivan's previous feature Bhoothakaalam with my mum as well which we loved. This was an even better output as a filmmaker by Sadasivan as his technical prowess has grown multifolds and it's an absolute joy to witness the gorgeous cinematography with some brilliant tension building storytelling that almost never relents. Had some issues with the ending but it's a minor thing but I pretty much loved everything else about the movie. Mammookka is brilliant as always but big shoutout to Arjun Ashokan and Siddharth for matching the brilliance. I'm excited to see what kinds of stories Rahul Sadasivan will bring to life in his coming features!
