wow this movie resonates with me much more than i would’ve thought. my mom passed away from a car accident when i was 7; she was an organ donor and the only thing they could save were her eyes. so someone in this world has my mama’s beautiful eyes and that brings me so much comfort knowing she’s still around, a part of her still on this earth. i origins proves to me yet again that everything in life happens for a reason… the ending of this is just so beautiful :,)

Jerking off to your dead gf’s sex video while your pregnant wife is in the other room is kind of a red flag bro

my brother told me this is his favorite film. please know that i was going to give this three stars no matter what because i wanted to at least like whatever he loves.
but this is just a male fantasy played out for for the first hour explicitly, then implicitly for the remainder. man meets maniac pixie dream girl who quotes some obscure facts about mythological birds. man stalks MPDG. man randomly runs into her on the train. she’s foreign because of course she’s gotta be exotic. all while he is mean to his perfectly competent and OF COURSE beautiful assistant. how did no one anywhere stop or edit any of these premises. why. why did no one edit the…
my major takeaways from this film:
1. I'm going to the *wrong* Halloween parties
2. a marriage license takes 24 hours
3. pseudo-science is pseudo-interesting
first half works for what it is, the second half is ghastly (but i did laugh at those nefarious Greenwich Hospital doctors, always up to no good!). also, generous use of (plot-song) Radiohead is always fun.
"What if eyes really are windows to the soul?" - actual line of dialogue in this movie.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha fuck you.
I felt my soul touched. Everything is perfect, the script, aesthetics, acting, soundtrack... This is pure cinema.
