Oscar Winners (Ranked) (2021)
(Best Animated Short)
The loss of a child is by far one of the most excruciating things anyone can go through and this short nearly captures that pain.
I love the animation style, the fact that it’s very scrapbook like brings a whole different emotional weight to it, it makes it more child like giving off an impression that the “ghost” of their child is trying to help them reconnect.
But what the actual fuck, Why ruin it by putting some shite pop song throughout easily one of the worst decisions they could’ve done.
If you’ve not seen this I’d genuinely recommend watching on mute until half way through.
