Oscar Winners (Ranked) (2022)
(Best Picture)
(Best Supporting Actor)
(Best Adapted Screenplay)
I feel like if you ask most people what film least deserved Best Picture the most common answer would be either this or Crash which is a major reason I haven’t seen this yet, but got a comment on my Dune review saying that it’s a masterpiece so maybe there is some hope after all.
Yeah I’m kinda convinced the director from Sing watched the Elephant sing Happy Birthfay and was like “yeah I think we’ll start the film like that thanks”
It’s cute, it’s funny, it’s cringe worthy, it’s full of overused tropes almost feeling like a little bit like mean girls at times and it’s quite obviously Oscar bait.
Buuuuuuuut man it really is just so very heart warming.
If you told me all of these actors were a real family I’d 100% believe it this familial chemistry was like none other that I’d seen on screen before.
But if I’m being 100% honest I don’t actually fully know why I do like this so much, even the smallest of scenes that had little to no resemblance of even my own life made me tear up.
