This film is by far is what’s intrigued me the most out of all the Oscar Winners from this year
A) because it’s based on a true story that I’ve quite literally heard nothing of
But mainly B) from what I’ve seen it’s absolute a religious theme park
I think without knowing who Tammy Faye is it’s harder to know whether Jessica Chastains’ performance is authentic and deserving of the award but for me I thought she was outstanding.
There’s certain American accents that just tickle a certain part of my brain and the Minnesotan one is definitely one.
I have no idea if I love it or hate it or both at the same time.
The first hour of this is great and exactly what I’d hoped it would be but it does drop off for sure towards the end, but there’s only so much you can do on a “biopic” so understandable.
I just can’t believe they had Andrew Garfield in a musical but didn’t get him to sing 😭
