Idk how I haven’t seen the original film in all honesty considering I do love a good musical and that is a classic.
I also don’t know really much about it at all apart from that there’s 2 families clashing and a couple from opposite sides fall in love.
You know this Spielberg guy might be pretty damn good, dunno why I’ve just chose not to watch pretty much most of his films, but even ones like this that aren’t your typically high rated Spielberg films are still directed so well.
Icl I thought I would’ve loved Rachel Zegler in this just as much as I did in the new Hunger Games but Ariana DeBose stole the show in every aspect of this for me, she was by far my favourite actor/performer and character.
This would’ve been hell of a lot better if I could actually speak Spanish tho because ffs stop saying “speaking Spanish” in the subtitles. TELL ME WHAT THEY’RE SAYING CUNT.
