wow, what an absolute banger. stunning noir photography with a tragic melodramatic tale. loved the club bits, the musical numbers added to the overall atmosphere and sense of time and place. even though he only comes near the end, i was also very impressed by the child actor. lost it when he mentioned he would do anything to get locked up with his mom, precious. will definitely be checking out more movies from the golden age of mexican cinema.
