#SlasherSaturday

A remnant of the 80s home invasion panic era and a hidden gem of a Japanese tradwife domestic terror. It's as if Good Housekeeping and Harlequin romance novels collaborated on a thriller for neglected homemakers and horny SAHMs.

That score of mainly on-hold music though...not sure if it cheapens or elevates it. It's mostly the same track over and over again.

Wait, this is taking a turn... Is it making good on rape fantasies or actually memory-repressive rape? Did that actually happen, or what happened?

Luckily this isn't Tetsuo and most sexual violence is off-screen, so no serious trigger warning needed. Also it may have been entirely in someone's head... His or hers, I dunno.

I'm just going to stop here for a moment to say that I love and appreciate the interior design of your house, honey. We get a nice night tour with overhead and panning shots of it when that creeper is doing his intrusion...

But beyond the emotional , sexual and physical violence, butting out one's cigarette into the salad water is one of the unexpectedly worst offences. She just made that for you, motherfucker. A most aggressive audacity.

Umbrella vs chainsaw was not her brightest moment... We knew the toy truck or roller skate (?) would be a dud on impact, but she was on her way when the carving forks came out. Housewives are resourceful above all.

Moral of the story: Leave those "married single mothers" alone!
