Hooptober 11: #25/31
Wes Craven gives us more than meets the eye (as always). While it’s an exploitation/revenge film that leans on shock value, it also challenges the idea of the 'American nuclear family' by exposing its fragility. Craven shows that when pushed to survive, even a 'civilized' family can become just as brutal as their attackers.
