Very conflicted about this. I loved some bits, hated some and was kinda thinking through most of it how BBC's Ghostwatch had already done pretty much every interesting thing about this movie already on live telecast 32 years back. And coming to the usage of AI, its quite terrible. Especially when they go great lengths to do practical set designs only to fuck it up by cost cutting when it comes to graphic design, which in all fairness should've been done by an actually artist because firstly it looks bad and jarring and secondly it is morally and ethically reprehensible. Also the theme of selling your soul for ratings is honestly some of the weaker aspects of the movie that is not only unoriginal but quite bland and boring. I felt like everytime they tried taking it somewhere interesting, they would refuse to follow it through and end it on a lazier note. The usage of AI kinda extends this point as well. It was a very frustrating watch, mainly because David Dastmalchian is excellent throughout but the material he's working it is not very good but had the potential to be great.
