Slappy McGee’s review published on Letterboxd:
I do love me a good HORROR COMEDY... and this is a GREAT one!
The three "heroes" are a lot of fun and work well together. Easy to like and cheer for, very self-effacing and are equally competent and incompetent at times. Love that.
I also love the slight twist in genre where the zombies are not dangerous and just a part of life in this dystopian world. They are more of an annoyance to some and a suppressed minority to others. Very clever social satire that is well crafted for this film.
Also some nice gore moments in this mostly comic film that help to keep us firmly in the horror genre. Just very well done in that way.
I had such a good time watching this one!
Will definitely want to return to it at some point!
