So this random-creature-bearing tornado brings a whole host of "monsters" with it... well, mostly evil animals like evil crocodiles, evil octopi, evil giant boa constrictors and - of course - evil sharks.

Why are they "evil"?
I don't know.
They never explain why all these animals are giant and really, really pissed off. But they are. And they try to kill everyone.

Now along with the evil, pissed off, giant creatures... you also get some evil pterodactyls. Why are there dinosaurs?
I don't know.
They never explain that either. But they're there. And they are ALSO pissed off. And they are also trying to kill everyone.

Now along with the evil, pissed off, giant creatures and the evil, not-so-extinct, flying dinosaurs... you also get some weird crab-like sci-fi alien creatures. They look like giant scorpions or some shit.

And - yes - they are also pissed off and trying to kill everyone.

Why?
Well why are you still asking that question? Stop that, fool.

Okay, so we've established that the freakish time tornado has appeared out of nowhere and is now carrying monsters and delivering them abruptly into the coastal city... we also get some characters including a dorky scientist with a heart of gold, some lady Feds carrying out an undercover sting operation on a skeezy human trafficker, an ex-military doorman at a local hotel, and other various nuts and bolts to be used as Monster-Meals in different ways.

We are set for a damn movie, folks!!!

Actually... it's quite entertaining for such a low budget SyFy Channel like movie. Even the special effect CGI is not terrible. It's not great... but for this type of budget, they're not bad. The acting is halfway decent and the movie has a great pace to it.

Damn, I think I frickin' liked it.
