Wanted to watch this before the new show, and while it's not something I see myself rewatching much, it's very good and De Niro is excellent!

Very similar watch and thoughts to my last Hackman watch yesterday (The Conversation). It starts well, ends well, but the middle is so dull and borderline pointless that I can't give it a higher rating. Liked, far from loved, but I did prefer it to the Conversation at least... yay.

I didn't dislike this, but I wouldn't be in a rush to watch it again either. It starts well, it ends well, but the entire middle section was such a directionless bore that I just couldn't bring myself to give this a higher rating. It was OK, but I'm disappointed because I expected FAR more.

#22 Actor Challenge 2026

Unsurprisingly unspectacular, but a very solid heist thriller nonetheless. And even though I predicted one of the bigger twists, it kept me glued to the edge of my seat and i'd 100% watch this again. Not sure what else I'd want from a film of this nature really.
