Ghoul Gruel’s review published on Letterboxd:

This movie fucks right from the gate. It brings immaculate dystopian 80s Ozploitation and the version on Shudder looks sharp as. The story is paper thin and they pad it out with a lot, but the dirty grimy neon pop-punk aesthetics do so much heavy lifting that it’s almost not a problem. It’s a cool concept and I’d love to see them world build on it. Or is that just Mad Max?
I dunno if there’s enough happening to sit down and watch it a second time, but throw it on at a party where it’s ok if you get a lil distracted or are getting rowdy and have a good time.
Biggest miss was introducing the racist angle and then having it play such a small part and not giving much in the way of redemption for it. Other than to ram home these guys are a bunch of dickheads and our main is a GC.
