Making the background music out of the sounds of the embroidery machine was a genius move. Frantic, but slowly seems to ease into a flow, the visuals it rushes to show you becoming familiar as they repeat. Really wonderful stuff.

Moshi Monsters: The Movie is such a product of its time. The animation still often feels like it belongs in a webisode, but there's a charm to that, I think. It doesn't lose any of the style that makes Moshi Monsters what it is. Still not what I'd call movie quality, especially the very cheap CGI. But even that's so bad it wraps back around into fun.
As a movie, it's okay. Some elements have... aged. Would I recommend it…
