Oooh.. This one surprised me in the same way Castaway on the Moon did over 10 years ago.

Very lovely, charming, heartwarming movie. Excellent mix of drama and comedy. Melodrama at times, but done right.

Kal So-won as Ye-seung is the cutest, perfect perfect casting. She easily handles both lighthearted and more emotional scenes.
Ryu Seung-ryong as Lee Yong-gu is great too, playing a mentally impaired person can easily verge to overacting or point-and-laugh, but there's clearly a lot of heart in his role.
He does what I missed in I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK, which felt way too exaggerated for me.
The supporting cast is great aswel, with Oh Dal-su easily standing out as a gang leader.

The plot itself might not make much sense, but fuck logics and overthinking, this movie hit me right in the feels hard.

Definitely one to rewatch. Also great that it's a movie you can watch any season, wether it's during Christmas or during a warm summer.

Part of the M(a)y Korea Challenge 2024.
