What a treat to watch with a large show-out of Brazilians — the way the entire crowd “oooooh”-ed when the coxinha was revealed was the best endorsement a nation’s dish can receive. 

What can you say really about Wagner Moura here — absolutely captivating, his lack of presence was felt in scenes with the sole exception of anything with Tânia Maria, my God she was a delight and reminds me so much of my grandmother. 🥺

There was a moment maybe…

The first rule of staffing The Gorge needs to be only 100% uggos allowed. I’m talking, they’d rather bang a hollow man than creep on the other person through the most powerful binoculars in history. 

This was pretty fun when it became a mash-up of The Mist / The Fog / Annihilation but the rest of it was quite cheesy and predictable. I guess props to them waiting until the very end for the All Along the Watchtower needle drop.
