Feines, dunkel atmosphärisches Arthouse made in Austria. 
Was für starke Bilder, ein düsteres rohes 18.Jahrhundert glaubhaft dargestellt. 
Anja Plaschg kannte ich bisher nur als Musikerin, ihre schauspielerische Leistung entwickelt hier aber die größte Faszination.
Sowas von großartig!
Zusätzlich hat sie auch noch die wunderschöne eindringliche Filmmusik komponiert.
Für beides ist ihr eine größere Anerkennung nur zu wünschen!

Ein langsamer Weg in ein sich düster entwickelndes Drama auf überlieferten Pfaden. 
Ein dunkles Schicksal das die Psyche in eine Abwärtsspirale zieht. 
Am Ende stockt der Atem, doch der Film zelebriert das Gegenteil.

Dieser Film kommt in seiner Produktions-Wertigkeit einem Robert Eggers so nahe, wie kein anderer.

What powerful images, a dark, raw 18th century credibly portrayed. 
Until now I only knew Anja Plaschg as a musician, but her performance here develops the biggest fascination.
She is incredible!
In addition, she also composed that beautiful, haunting score.
I hope she receives great recognition for both!

A slow path into a darkly developing drama along traditional paths. 
A dark fate that drags the psyche into a downward spiral. 
At the end it took my breath away, but the film celebrates the opposite.

In terms of production value, this film comes as close to Robert Eggers as no other.
