Why would I like a bad movie.
Spielberg feeding me straight hopium per usual. Always love being reminded what a real director’s work looks like.
One of the best films about an artists commitment to their craft, no matter how damaging and detrimental it is to themselves. Brilliant score and editing.
Musicians who hate it because “it’s not what would happen in real life” need to stay in their lane. Filmmakers rarely know what makes good music and musicians (clearly) don’t know what makes a good film.
Watching this again reminds me that I need to check out Black Swan and Perfect Blue, as well as rewatch the rest of Damien Chazelle’s filmography.
