I get now why Villeneuve suddenly claimed that dialogues are unimportant and images and sound is all that counts

If I'd made Dune 2, I'd be looking for excuses to on how a script can be that horrible after a great start.

Every scene, every dialogue, every character development is just one huge cliché with zero ideas on its own.

The narrative just wildly jumps around, leaving us with zero comprehensible character development.

The images and sound are decent, but there's not a single suspenseful or intriguing scene for them to be more than nice photographs

This is the first Villeneuve movie I don't like

I can already see this movie being shown at film schools as an example for perfect filmmaking & the most imaginative and haunting use of symbolism in sound and visuals.

One of the most special and differentiated WWII movies ever.
