From the very open the vibes are on point. It’s gritty and has this very late-80s dusty-synth lighting (I just made that up I don’t know what it means). It just looks cool as shit.

Hauer is extremely charming and creepy, and Howell’s fear, disbelief, and drive are well portrayed. It’s a tense, harrowing cat and mouse story of the type where the characters get so far in there’s no way of climbing back out. It’s Freeway meets Near Dark meets Thelma & Louise

More thriller than horror, all I’d ask for was to shave 10min off to tighten it up even further, and show a bit more of the horror (particularly that scene). But that’s me being real picky. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
