This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I wasn't sure what to expect — I deliberately kept myself ignorant of the most basic facts about the plot — but I imagine a lot of fans of conventional zombie movies will be a little (or very) disappointed, but as a fan of Land Of The Dead and Handling The Undead, I'm pretty pleased.

This is a criminally underrated movie, I don't know what is wrong with people. Very understated (though at times pretty melodramatic, true) and honestly pretty straightforward but executed very competently.
But what no-one seems to care about is that Schwarzenegger drops the action-hero "I'll be back" winking at the camera that we all know and love and legit squeezes out a tear when the script demands it. His character's stoic nature doesn't allow for much more than that, but he sells…

Kyle Gallner is pretty hot but not "yes, I totally believe that Samara Weaving would decide he's her best shot outta town" hot.
Big Victoria energy in this one, if they'd only bothered to make it three months long and one take. No-one has any vision anymore.
No complaints with any story, but special mentions for the Kate Siegel and Justin Long segments: the former was truly skin-crawling when it got going and the latter had a great setup for the footage's origin.
