all said, I love jax. jax is just simply the best.
watched this while getting my teeth drilled at the dentist. it kind of sits in the mediocre perfect place for that and it was short enough that I got to finish watching the whole thing in one dental visit.

just a film with amazing cinematography and a great soundtrack. for a movie that is about papacy politics it does a really good job at making its subject matter engaging, and giving all the essential characters a touch of depth. closest thing we'll get to a third season of the young pope
the fact a lot horrible people misunderstand the ending and are furious about it is just a nice additional, hilarious and delicious flourish
