What an excellent film... but with director Jean-Pierre Melville at the helm, what do you expect?

It's beautifully shot, and I just love the way Melville frames his scenes. Dude sure knew what the hell he was doing.

This is a HEIST film at its core, but it goes far beyond that as it fleshes out all of the various nuances of the crew as well as the various dynamics of the bad guys coming to terms with each other. The HEIST itself is almost secondary to what the movie focuses on... and the inner-workings of the various crew members, but centrally the main one, are quite enjoyable and intriguing.

I could watch movies like this all day long.
Slide it directly into my veins.
