Now usually I'm one to avoid site challenges, but Hooptober is my exception. For the fourth year in a row I'll attempt to watch and review at least 31 different horror films while meeting specific criteria. I succeeded in my first two attempts but failed last year's marathon when real life distracted me. That means I've got extra incentive to complete and defeat Letterboxd's most famous annual tradition this time around! Other than some Scream rewatches, my picks are fresh viewings! Everything under #23 constitutes my pool of films that don't check any boxes, but still would be nice to watch. With many extras there's no way I'll get to them all. Still, could be satisfying to exceed the assigned 31 and make up for last year's failings.
