I know theres the joke going around about being a teenage girl in the 00's and how you might be owed compensation...but honestly, we really should be.
Scariest thing is I didnt think it was that weird at the time. Maybe a bit excessive, but it was horrific to watch back some of the worst parts. Glad things have changed (somewhat.)
Poor Shandi. Honestly that story was the worst. I hope she is ok after reliving it all.
Oh and one final thought. Fuck you Tyra Banks. You came off so condescending and not even slightly sorry.
John Candy is so special to me. I grew up watching his films. Uncle Buck, Home Alone, Splash, Cool Runnings and my dads favourite, Planes, Trains and Autombiles. This documentary hit me hard, as my dad and his dad also passed away very young from huge heart attacks, so it resonated with me a lot.
I hate how much interviewers focused on his weight all the time. The man was brilliant and so much more than that.
To see Catherine O'Hara speaking about him and tearing up made me sob now she is gone too. Imagine the fun they are having wherever they are!
Ah god I loved this! I was kind of dreading the 3+ hour run time, as I usually get fidgety after the two hour mark, but there was so much going on, it kept me etertained for pretty much the whole thing. I am not a fan of Damien Chazelle films usually, so for me to be blown away by this is saying a lot.
The sequence with Tobey Maguire was just insane, not enough mentions of his character!
I…
Was hoping this might be a little more insightful, along the same lines as the McQueen documentary. Not enough back story and it made Vivienne and her husband look like they were right bastards to work for!
