Made during the actual time period that the real Zodiac Killer was out and about killing folks as a way to try to catch him. They screened the movie hoping it would draw him into the theater so they could possibly identify him and arrest him.
It didn't work, obviously.
Neither did this movie.
Filmed on a tiny budget, it really shows.
The acting, directing, editing, writing, etc... all quite poor.
I mean, I applaud the filmmakers for wanting to help catch the dude... but making a terrible movie may not be the way to get it done.
The movie now remains as merely a curiosity of the early, early 70's.
(...speaking of which, I am kinda curious if the real Zodiac ever did see this... come on, Zodes, I know you're out there reading this... time to fess up right here... you saw it, didn't you?...)
