***************
This movie wants so desperately to be taken seriously, it just hurts.
Starts off interesting. Then ruins its cred when the characters tell you exactly what the opening title cards told you. Such a dumb filmmaking choice. Immediately lost faith in the filmmakers at that point.
But in the end, I felt EXACTLY like Shannyn Sossamon's character... and in a way, she was my SPIRIT ANIMAL in the final scene.
And even though Shannyn has a stupid/pretentious spelling to her name, her acting was the best part of this movie. Certainly miles better than Pinky Tuscadero who shows what a god-awful actress she is. Man, she's TERRIBLE. Should stick to singing - which she's quite good at... but acting... ugh, not your strength, P.
Ultimately, the movie fails miserably despite Shannynynyn's best efforts to act her way out of it.
