***************
The second in a set of three documentaries about certain types of CULT FILMS. This volume deals with Horror and Sci-Fi films.
They cover about 10 or so films in great depth and have interviews with the actors and film crew and other directors about each film. A great insight into what makes these films so enjoyable and why they have achieved their cult film status.
For some reason, there is an in-studio panel of Joe Dante, Kevin Pollack, Illeana Douglas and John Waters to go along with the "talking head" interviews. No idea why this particular panel was assembled when MOST of the doc is not even them, but the various interviews and such. I think maybe it started that way and then the filmmakers just got more and more interviews and the doc took on a new form. Maybe? I'm not sure.
That being said... the movies covered and the information that is given is quite intriguing. It's a great documentary for any cinephile or fan of movies in general. A great watch.
