Folks, it’s been a tough time for basic human rights and feeling like you have a right to exist.
I feel less safe and validated than I did 5 years ago. Nimona is not going to fix problems but it did feel like a little soft embrace on the right day.

Great, gorgeous, queer movie that wears its message and identity proudly on its sleeve. No half assed version of representation here. Haven’t seen that portrayed in commercial animation before. Not like this at least. Balanced storytelling has never really been Blue Sky’s strong suit however so it suffers here and there as well. It’s a bit on the fluffier side. Either way, good! Gets an extra half star for being a survivor.

Netflix isn’t that good at making art but they sure are good at buying it. Absolutely your loss, Disney. Enjoy your random non binary pool of water? What was that?
