The original Point Break is my favorite movie, I always wish they would have made a sequel with Keanu and Swayze. Instead we get this remake, which I was entertained by, but was nowhere near as good as the original.
I enjoyed the action in this movie but other than Utah and Bohdi I feel the other characters aren’t given as much to do in this. The character of Tyler is missing and replaced by another that Teresa Palmer plays…
For the longest time I had thought there was a Tales from the Crypt episode with Dan Ackroyd and a cat that comes out of him, so with the series being added to Shrudder I went looking for the episode only to find out it was a segment from this movie and it wasn’t Dan Ackroyd. The weird thing is I have no recollection of the other two stories in this, so must have been something I saw flipping channels on HBO as a kid one night. Anyways I really did enjoy this and was glad to have solved a mystery of mine.
Fun movie. Like how Eugene Levy pops up in these spinoffs so they can tie in back to the originals besides just naming a character Stifler.
