A lot better than when I first watched it, but still too surreal and random feeling for me to process in a meaningful way. I guess this is kinda what I imagine Godard fans see when they watch his work, a formal playfulness that belies an intense political message.
I have a hard time with some of these classic Soviet films because they feel highly depersonalized to me. Kalatozov is obviously a cinematic genius but I did not feel a whole lot.
