A pretty strong slow burn of a character study.
Great performances really carry this piece.
And some good construction of the scenes which give various interpretations into Maud's psyche. Is she growing closer to a higher being? Is she descending into madness? Is she being used by a darker power all-together? Or a bit of all three? It's kind of up to the viewer to decide and that's pretty damn cool.
Yeah... I dig that kind of storytelling.
