While creating a list for the 2020 March Around the World challenge, I found myself especially interested in seeing more films from the African continent, which is especially difficult, since most of us have so little access to these releases. I did some research and came across the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), which is often described as the most prestigious awards in the region and was surprised to find no lists about it here on Letterboxd.
