I preferred the more comedic first half to the ultra gory violence of the second (but the kills are creative). I'm slowly making my way through the films of Milo Cawthorne and I found him endearing as Brodie, awkwardly befriending D&D players and a fellow metal head. The ending reminded me of Shaun of the Dead.
