(this list is pretty exhaustive but if you come across an article where he recommends something else you can use it as long as you link the rec [so I can add it to my list lol]).

6. While a lot of actors are from Pittsburgh, I am not. I was raised in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, known for being kind of close to Scranton and being mentioned on The Office multiple times. Either watch a film directed by Joseph Manckiewiz, who was born in Wilkes-Barre, or watch a film that has referenced the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area. 9. Shortly after I first joined Letterboxd, I became extremely obsessed with Frank Sinatra. In honor of the two and a half years that I've loved him, watch any film that Frank Sinatra starred in.
10. Today is Jon Hamm's birthday, watch a film featuring an actor who appeared on Mad Men.
11. I have a degree in history so watch any film that dramatizes a moment or event in history.
12. I also have a degree in politics so watch any political documentary.
13. One of my first huge obsessions was The Beatles. George Harrison has always been my favorite Beatle so, in honor of him, watch any film made by George Harrison's production company, HandMade Films. Bonus points if you choose one that George was actually a producer on.
14. I feel like part of the soundtrack to every American my age's life is made up partially of tracks by The Lonely Island. Weird because they're a comedy troupe, but isn't that part of what makes it fun? Watch any movie that stars, is written by, directed by, or produced by a member of the Lonely Island (Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone).
15. Comedy is and has always been, my favorite genre. Watch a comedy that was released before 1970.
16. Lawyers are often seen as the ultimate narcissists, which must be why I'm in school to become one right now! Watch a film featuring a lawyer.
17. We love a hot Hollywood couple. Watch a film directed by Noah Baumbach or one starring or directed by Greta Gerwig.
18. Seth Rogen and Judd Apatow comedies defined my late childhood/early teenhood. In honor of them,watch a bro-comedy that was released in the 2000s.
19. Spring officially starts today in the Northern Hemisphere, watch a film that you think best represents any season.
20. Before there was my obsession with the Beatles, there was Harry Potter, an obsession that lasted well over a decade. Watch any film starring an actor who got their start in one of the Harry Potter films.
21. Watch any film that you didn't think you would like when you first heard of it but now think you might enjoy.
