What horror used to be, by gar!!! Give me monsters and costumes and all those KNB practical effects in all their slimy, latex-y, gruesome glory!
Another one I sadly missed out on as a kid - I never even heard of this until a few years ago, so I have no idea how it never hit my radar, but by 1990 I guess I was paying more attention to the way the girls at school were all changing... in new and interesting ways... and even poor old horror had to take a back seat. Plus I had some body horror of my own to deal with, as we all do when we're 14 or 15.
Unbelievable cast, a wonderfully morbid sense of humour and a set of wicked little morality tales in true Creepshow fashion. Lessons taught:
- Don't try and get your rivals thrown out of college (oops)
- Don't test pharmaceuticals on animals, especially not cats (I hope THC doesn't count)
- Don't be too honest with the mother of your children (safe, I think)
Debbie Harry is so cute I'd almost be tempted to let her eat me.
