Definitely a very slow burn of a character study.

It's the PREQUEL to Ti West's wonderful film "X" and is firmly carried by the tremendous acting talents of lead actress (and co-writer) Mia Goth.

Goth gives a better performance in this than any of the lame-ass actors that were nominated in last year's farce of an Academy Awards. But alas... this is horror... so it's pushed so dismissively aside.

We just need a little Pearl to step in and "rearrange" that Academy Member Meeting Room. Now THAT'S something I would pay to see.
