Delightfully gory.
But not a great story.
(...hey, that rhymed...)
A graduating class celebrates overnight at a local run-down water park. A mysterious killer is fucking people up. It kind of culminates with a deadly water slide carnage... which is pretty danged horrific.
This movie is filmed incredibly well. It looks really good. Kind of plays on the nostalgia of '80s water parks as well. The student band even plays a night of 80's music. Pretty cool.
However... the huge problem with this movie is the ending is fucking terrible. It just kind of "ends" with no real resolution. It stumbles around an explanation... but really fails. Absolutely rotten ending that is completely awkwardly written and kind of just slapped on to the end. No idea why they did that. Maybe they ran out of money and couldn't finish it and just came up with a shitty ending to do "something".
But it's a big ol' fail.
It's only about 71 minutes, so I'm guessing something was dropped/cut/ forgotten/missed. With a good final act, this movie might have been another half star or so.
Ah wells...
