film school dropouts weekly challenge 2020

joining the class of 2020 over at film school dropouts by trying out their weekly challenge!

the basic rules and additional explanations are in the above link, but the gist is: do your best to follow the theme of the week by watching a correlating film.

there are plenty of excellent examples provided on the challenge page, and that was my pool to choose from. I ranked each suggested list from each pool from highest (letterboxd) average to lowest, then I selected the highest ranking film. if I've already seen the highest ranking, I went to the next highest and so on. one exception: I'm not skipping arthur christmas for any reason during the month of december, so may as well put it on my list as the final week's film.

read my notes to reveal the weekly themes!
