2 1970s Regional US horror films
This film reminded me a lot of Messiah of Evil, with the main character slowly realizing that something is not right with the place they're in and the eeriness of the small town in which the film takes place. I loved that this film looks beautiful with its rural setting in Connecticut while having a creepy undertone with the voices of the villain inhabiting Jessica's mind, and it makes the viewer question if what she is hearing and seeing is actually real or if it is just a figment of her imagination. I could see my rating for this movie being bumped up on a rewatch, I'll probably pair it with Messiah of Evil next time!
