The worst thing that a horror film can do for itself is become completely boring. A boring horror film is quite possibly just one of the worst things you can do because the entire part of the film is to either create tension or scares and if nothing is making me keep internet, then nothing can scare me. Besides that point, the film itself isn’t scary or even thrilling at all either. It really surprises me simply how bland and unoriginal this feels. Each moment felt completely useless in an overarching short that - in the end - makes zero sense when you dive any deeper than the already shallow surface level that the film has. Cast is completely mishandled, I saw some liking for Armstrong and I don’t know if I’m being too harsh but she was just as bad as everyone else. Firestarter sucks; I haven’t seen the original, but there’s no way it can be worse than this.
